to Enable More Efficient Research of Medical Cannabis Outcome Measures
Strategic Partnership Will Create Enterprise Medical Research Software for the
Medical Cannabis Industry
PITTSBURGH (August 16, 2017) – The Pennsylvania Medical Cannabis Society (PAMCS), Miradati Technology, a
Medicare/Medicaid software development company, and HCXP a HIPAA-compliant technology company, are
pleased to announce that the three organizations have entered into a strategic technology partnership, resulting in
the development of medical research software that will deliver enterprise solutions for the growing medical
Co-founded by Russ Cersosimo and Thomas Perko, PAMCS was founded in 2015 with the mission of fostering a
sustainable model for the cannabis industry through education and leadership. Through PAMCS’ advocacy, the
organization was instrumental in getting medical cannabis legalized in Pennsylvania.
With PAMCS’ focus on education, research, and technology, it has also recently entered into partnership with a
Pennsylvania state university to utilize the new software platform to further develop and evolve public health.
“This new medical technology will facilitate quick and efficient medical cannabis research and provide doctors the
information they need to make informed decisions in regards to cannabis treatment” said Cersosimo. “We are
bridging a huge gap in research, enabling us to uncover outcome data that will lead to the development of
highly-targeted therapies and ultimately more effective medicines – not just in Pennsylvania, but on a worldwide
Lead by Founder Wayne Kelly, HCXP is based in Harrisburg and develops HIPAA-compliant medical software which
will enable the PAMCS research program to take place.
“We are building the gold standard in healthcare quality assurance and performance improvement for the clinical
cannabis industry, enabling doctors to see the research in real-time.” added Kelly. “This will be the first solution
introduced of its kind.”
This program will debut on August 20th at the 2017 Pennsylvania Permit Awards Banquet in Hershey, PA, honoring
all of the successful awardees of grow/process and dispensary permits.
